TORI FERNANDEZ
Owner of Black Honey Tattoo Co. and Tattoo Artist
Victoria “Tori” Fernandez was born and raised a Cuban-American artist in Miami, FL where she began her lifelong passion for art. Later in life, pursuing a more traditional career per a Summa Cum Laude High school graduate, she attended Florida International University majoring in Mechanical Engineering (and later Electrical Engineering). Three years into a successful academic career, feeling whole heartedly unchallenged she decided to pursue a tattoo apprenticeship thereafter. Tori has been tattooing full time now (post-apprenticeship) for over six years (since August 2013).
Today, she specializes in black and grey and color realism, with an emphasis on human and animal portraiture, skulls, flora and cinematic imagery. Her current deepest artistic influences lie within the Italian Renaissance movement. Fellow painters and craftsman throughout the years continue to inspire her and led to the following of her second life passion, fine art painting. In her eyes, tattooing represents the ability for one to introduce a new (now permanent) part of this person (the client) to themselves that would now change how they see themselves for the better! Tattooing really gives her the chance to give a client something other than actual product, it gives her a chance to be a part of this person’s life; and to be that person who turns thepage into a new chapter of their life and give them a riveting piece of artwork to wear on themselves as an indictor of such. With her academic background along with a constant underlying strive for knowledge, she has spent the last few years her career perfecting her internal methods as well as continuing to treat any future and current clients with respect and guidance.
Black Honey Tattoo Collective is a cumulation of the experiences and knowledge from her lifetime: technical, mathematical and artistic, applied to one entity and representative to the new and refined era of tattooing.
JAQUELYN PUMA
Tattoo Artist
Since childhood, Jaquelyn Puma, aka JPUMA, has been an artist depicting her deepest, most complex inner world. Originally from just outside of New York City, Jaquelyn graduated from an all-girls high school to study at Pratt, FIT, and Pace University and completed with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a minor in Fashion. She has explored a gamut of mediums including graphite, block print, acrylic, watercolor, India ink, pastel, charcoal, colored pencil, spray paint, and marker. She then relocated to Fort Lauderdale where she began modeling and a freelance art career, primarily beginning with murals. After an apprenticeship, she officially began her tattoo career in 2019 and has been working as a sought-after artist since.
Jaquelyn’s massive art collective includes portraits that are peppered with psychedelic and chaotic stardust, as well as a wide variety of subjects that have a pop / street / splatter / graffiti finish. Jaquelyn’s art extends from the cavernous confines of her soul, revealing an obsession with control, power, and her relentless desire to maintain balance against the storm and connect with her inner child.
Jaquelyn’s tattoo career focus is primarily black and grey work, pointillism, and her fascination with illustrative line work. She enjoys traveling and bringing her talent of tattooing all over the world.
In her spare time, Jaquelyn likes to do her hair and makeup, take photos with her photographer, and expand her Pokemon collection.
Ana "Spookz" Velazquez
Tattoo Artist
Ana Velazquez is an autistic illustrative tattoo artist that goes by Spookz and has been an artist for a better part of their life. They grew up in Tennessee and moved to South Florida in their teenage years. Growing up their family was very artistic, Ana's mom is a watercolor painter and their dad created music and went to school for the film industry. He later opened up his own production company. Ana was in art classes growing up and knew they wanted to be a tattooist for as long as can be remembered. Although they didn’t immediately get into tattooing after leaving high school, it was realized very quickly that Ana's love for art was in the illustrative form. They've experimented with different mediums from colored pencils, oil, watercolor, gouache and many more before truly falling in love with tattooing.
Since Ana's apprenticeship in 2018, they've been steadily and passionately tattooing since 2019. Ana's favorite styles of tattooing consist of neo-traditional, neo-realism, and anime/cartoon illustrative! If you’re a lover of cartoons and anime, chances are that you'll truly get along well. Spookz adores all things spooky, witchy, and ghosts along with anything cute, pink, and girly! They love tattooing skulls as much as cute Pokémon. Hopefully this gives you a little insight to Ana as a person!
jOEL jOSSELYN
Tattoo Artist
From a young age Joel found a solace in art. Compelled from the pages of marvel comics he poured over, Joel dared to begin his life in art, by spawning unique comic characters and stories. With his illustrative skill, he drew up baseball cards for local little league teams as well. Along his artistic path, Joel took a fondness to architectural design. His parents had built two houses in his childhood, which would later inspire him to create his own homes as well. Throughout his life, he excelled at both art and architecture, leading him to pursue it on a collegiate level. However, the politics of academia soured his love for it and shifted his journey elsewhere.
Joel began his path into body art, enamored by the visuals of early 2000's Madonna. He became specifically drawn to her Mendi henna designs, adorning her hands for the span of two weeks or so. Just so happening to grab a book and creating dragons from this artistic inspiration, a local business owner caught eye of Joel's artwork, and thus began his path into professional artistry. He was then told; he had a job for the summer up in ptown as a professional henna artist.
Following this path as an artist was when Joel truly discovered and focused on his genuine extensive skills of drawing body art. As he progressed, his designs became larger and more elaborate, which even escalated to his own friends using his art as the lining for their permanent tattoos. With the support and uplifted by friends, Joel eventually found his niche style into body art, which built his confidence into pursuing a formal apprenticeship as a tattoo artist. After completed his apprenticeship he continued to dedicate his work to bettering himself continuously. He has crossed paths and continues to be inspired by artists from all over the world, learning from each and every one of them.
Joel is ecstatic with his current tattoo home he has found in Black Honey Tattoo Co. He expresses his feelings of comfort to grow, while pouring into his admiration for this craft, lifting him into his current artistic flow.

Nancy specializes in traditional, illustrative type work that is bold and colorful. She adores creating pin ups, girl heads, traditional tattoo imagery and anything Pokémon! Nancy may be a small lady holding a powerful machine, but please don't let her loud machine fool you; she has an incredibly gentle touch and does exceptionally well with first timers.
Outside of the tattoo shop, you can find Nancy bundled up in a Buc-ees blanket, rewatching Parks and Rec on any given day. She is currently working on becoming the first tattooer to be sponsored by Buc-ees gas station. She needs it to be known, "I really do admire that beaver." She is also an avid trainer, working on her Pokémon Go pokédex. If you're looking to get tattooed by Big Nance, don't forget to share your friend code!
